i made a propaganda poster (and it was kind of fun)
So, when I was younger, I used to be obsessed with Instagram and I would
spend hours on it daily. After a while of scrolling through my feed, it
finally came across my mind that some of the posts I was seeing could
be spreading misinformation. That is when I decided that from now on I
will always do research on a subject before I fully form my opinion, and
that listening to random people on the internet and taking it at face
value wasn't the best thing for me. That is why I created this
propaganda poster, to make sure that others don't fall into the same
trap I did in middle school. I based it mainly off of older American
propaganda posters that were used to get the young men of the time to
enlist in the military. I mainly drew inspiration from the movie Captain
America: The First Avenger, as I remember a specific scene of Steve
Rogers looking up at a propaganda poster and deciding to join the Army. I
also have a personal connection to the military, as my Grandfather,
John Rogers, was a Vietnam Veteran.
Here is the picture I based the poster on, and some of the posters I used to come up with the idea for it.
